WFES taken as a chance to further integrate the Arab Electricity Market

The World Future Energy Summit (WFES) is approaching quickly. The world’s most influential event promoting the use of renewable energy, energy efficiency and clean technology will be taking place the 16-19th of January in Abu Dhabi. Counting with the presence of highly influential government and industry figures, and with more than 600 companies from 32 countries and 30,000 attendees in 2016, it is the shot to start this new year gazing new business opportunities.

RCREEE collaborates with IRENA, LAS and the World Bank to organize a Stakeholder Consultation Meeting on January 17, seeking to identify priority areas for promoting an accelerated integration of renewables into national power systems, potentially forming the basis for future regionally-coordinated programmes and projects in the Arab region.

The event will feature three roundtable discussions and attract participants from governments, regional and international organisations, IFIs, development partners and the private sector stakeholders from the Arab region.
