Workshop on “COP 22: Fostering Climate Change Resilience in Egypt” at the 45th Cairo Climate Talks

On the 23rd-24th of January, RCREEE's Technical Director, Dr. Maged Mahmoud, has spoken at the 45th Expert Workshop  of Cairo Climate Talks "COP22: Fostering Climate Change Resilience in Egypt" on the future of Egypt’s energy policies after COP22.

The Workshop, organized by the German Embassy in Cairo, has discussed topics such as global dynamics of COP22 and the role of civil society in the fight against climate change, and has gathered personalities such as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Environment and Sustainable Development of Egypt (the Ambassador Wael Abou El Magd) and H.E. Julius Georg Luy, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Cairo, as well as representatives from institutions such as the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (Sherif Abdelrehim, Head of Climate Change Department), Siemens (Mahmoud El Refai), TU Berlin (Felix Hartenstein), the Ecologic Institute (Lena Donat), among others.
