Call for Expression of Interest - The Mediterranean Investment Facility (MIF)
The Mediterranean Investment Facility (MIF) invites private developers to express their interest in obtaining technical assistance and capacity development programs to apply MIF newly developed ordinance. The call is for non-residential building (Commercial) at the preliminary design stage.
Interested private investors must submit a complete application form (click here to download) by July 6, 2020.
MIF is a joint initiative under the UN Environment Programme and the Italian Ministry for the Environment Land and Sea (IMELS), which focuses on developing an effective, sustainable renewable energy market system in the greater Mediterranean region. In cooperation with RCREEE, MIF is launched in Egypt with the aim to scale up clean energy technologies in the local market.
MIF-Egypt mission is to develop an ordinance on the reduction of building energy needs, through the analysis of the existing building stock, a best available technology market study. This newly developed ordinance will be tested on public and private buildings. By working with government bodies, communities, project developers and households on these aspects, MIF Egypt provides opportunities to save consumers money, increase a new market sector and avoid future greenhouse gas emissions.

The Mediterranean Investment Facility (MIF) is a joint initiative under UN Environment Programme and the Italian Ministry for the Environment Land and Sea (IMELS) with the support of Politecnico di Milano – Department of Energy (PoliMi) aiming to develop an effective, sustainable renewable energy market system in the greater Mediterranean region and to provide supporting financial tools.
In cooperation with the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) and the Egyptian Ministry of Housing (MoH), MIF is launched in Egypt to scale up clean energy technologies and incentives in the Egyptian market.
