In cooperation with LCEC, RCREEE offers technical support to the Lebanese wind energy program
In the framework of the continuous cooperation with the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC), RCREEE organizes a technical visit to exchange expertise and offer technical support for the Lebanese wind energy program.
RCREEE delegation included Ahmed Badr RCREE Executive Director, Dr. Maged Mahmoud RCREEE technical director, and Dr. Hafez Salmawy Engineering professor at Zagazig University.
The visit included a number of technical meetings with the Lebanese counterparts under the patronage of Engineer Pierre Khoury, director of the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation and Mr. Ziad Al Zain, RCREEE Executive Committee member.
The workshop aimed to discuss the Egyptian experience in solar and wind energy especially in terms of the mechanisms, and procedures of contracting private sector companies and the costs of energy production.
In addition, the workshop discussed the important factors affecting renewable energy in relation to the Lebanese experience and what can be benefited from the Egyptian experience.
The results of the workshop will be presented at the 7th Beirut International Energy Forum, scheduled from 21 to 23 September.
