RCREEE Co-organize “Train the Trainer (TTT) programme on solar energy Seminar
September 06, 2015- Within the framework of Solar Med Atlas project, RCREEE in coordination with RENAC renewable academy, organized a Seminar entitled “Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programme on solar energy" in Cairo, Egypt.
The course targeted professionals in the field of solar energy in the MENA region. The participants received theoretical facts on grid-tied PV applications and solar radiation as well as soft skills to improve their training abilities.The seminar offered the participants a chance to develop their techniques and gain the experience that allows them to plan and conduct their own training courses to policy makers, NGOs, institutions driving the solar market and those in need of technical knowledge to implement solar projects.
In his opening speech, RCREEE head of projects and technical affairs, Dr. Maged Mahmoud welcomed the attendees and assured the importance of the training and encouraged the attendees to share what the learnt in their countries.
The interactive sessions encouraged the trainers to give presentations and exchange knowledge, in addition to that the participants get introduced to other professionals working in the same field in the MENA region.
About Solar Med Atlas Project
Solar Med Atlas project is a portal for global horizontal and direct normal irradiance data for the southern and eastern Mediterranean region. The project includes a consortium of international organizations (led by DLR and including RCREEE, RENAC, Geomodel, Transvalor, Armines, OME and REEEP) and is funded by The Federal Environment Ministry of Germany to develop an interactive solar Atlas for the Mediterranean Region.
