RCREEE and YESH facilitate youth access to professional networks

July 3, 2021: RCREEE and the Youth Sustainable Energy Hub (YSEH) jointly organize a virtual networking session to facilitate professional connections between the young energy professionals, entrepreneurs, academics and advocates.

The session brought together regional professionals to support the exchange experiences, best practices and support energy young energy leaders and professionals build partnerships for action on the ground.

The session focused on three areas tackling the main challenges and success stories young professionals faced while working in the private sector, public sector, or non-governmental entities.

From RCREEE’s side, Arab Program for Sustainable Energy Youth (APSEY) coordinator, Ms. Noura El Atreby moderated one of the sessions tackling youth’s engagement with the governmental bodies.

Young Leaders from the MENA region and sub-Saharan countries shared their experience in the sustainable energy field, their aspiration, and the main challenges they managed to overcome to positively impact their national energy transition journey. Several members from APSEY’s Alumni network participated at the event reflecting on their APSEY experience and its role in shaping their sustainable energy ideas and plans.

About Arab Program for Sustainable Energy Youth (APSEY)

APSEY is a regional sustainable energy internship program organized by the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) which targets young professionals and post graduate students of engineering, economy, and law fields from the Arab region. The program aims to boost the technical and operational capacities of the region’s young talents interested in renewable energy and energy efficiency fields. The program recruits 12 interns every year in two rounds for hands-on experience in the center’s research and analysis, policy briefs, technical assistance, and other related activities. About Youth Sustainable Energy Hub

YSEH is the first global platform showcasing the work and impact of youth initiatives in the sustainable energy sector.
