RCREEE participates at “Public consultation session of the 500 MW NIAT wind farm project in the Gulf of Suez”

RCREEE participates at “Public disclosure and consultation session of the 500 MW NIAT wind farm project in the Gulf of Suez” on 18 January 2022. Held at Ras Ghareb, the event gathers representatives from Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA), Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), New and Renewable Energy Agency (NREA), Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) the developer of the project and EconConsult and EcoConServ consortium as the consultant of the project with representatives from Red Sea governorates, local community in Ras Ghareb, Red Sea Protectorates, Egyptian Universities as well as wind energy projects developers.

The session unfolded with presenting the executive summary of the project following by discussion of the environmental and social impacts of the project on the Red Sea governorate in general.
