UNDP-Syria and RCREEE organize a training course on “Thermal insulation and its applications in various sectors”
Beirut-Lebanon: RCREEE in cooperation with UNDP Syria organized a 5-day training course on “Thermal insulation and its applications in various sectors” in Beirut, Lebanon.
The training was organized as part of RCREEE & UNDP-Syria series of training courses dedicated to advance the technical skills of Syrian professionals as part of the second phase of “Training for All” program launched by UNDP Syria.
The training course started by covering the fundamentals of thermal insulation and progressed to cover a number of topics including technical specifications and necessary equipment for the selection of thermal insulation materials, international codes and standards and Environmental and Social Impact of Energy Efficiency.
Since United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Syria and RCREEE cooperation agreement to implement capacity-building activities for Syrian Experts in 2019, RCREEE has successfully organized 9 training courses for more than 80 Syrian professionals covering a wide range of topics including energy management, solar applications, feasibility studies, risk mitigation, regional and international practices in Egypt and Lebanon. In addition, site visits were organized to ensure practical experience and knowledge are acquired.
“Training for All” program aims to enhance and further develop the capacities of Syria Electricity sector to deliver essential services to affected local communities and to support the re-habitation of productive infrastructures. In its second phase, the program gives special attention to enhancing technical and planning at local and national level.
