Energy minister receives RCREEE officials

Bahrain News Agency – Energy Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received senior officials of the Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), led by Regional Director Dr. Ahmed Badr.

Welcoming the visitors, the minister spoke about ways of cooperation with RCREEE in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency in Bahrain’s development and exchange of experiences in the field, taking advantage of the laws and regulations that have been applied successfully in a number of Arab and European countries.

The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation on a number of initiatives, especially regarding the development of technical and legislative requirements to expand solar energy projects as well as the best international and regional practices in the legislative structure that allows for small and large investors from taking part in the development of solar energy.

RCREEE officials thanked the minister for the warm reception and the hospitality and praised his efforts to provide top class services for all.

The minister’s adviser on technical and engineering affairs Dr. Abdul Majeed Abdul Karim Habib, was also present.
