In Egypt, GGF has established partnership with BdC by providing a credit line to finance CAPEX investments and physical assets in EE and RE. This credit line was launched in 2017.
This report shows the GGF engagement as a success story in the sustainable finance field to be highlighted.
The green loan appraisal process usually starts in parallel with creditworthiness checks and internal approvals by BdC, to ensure a timely turnaround for the loan approval process. In its role as the ‘Green consultant’ for the bank, the Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) is engaged to support loan officers in the
identification and appraisal process of GGF eligible investments.
