With OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) co-finance, Cheikh Ahmedou joined APSEY seventh round. With Environmental management and Energy Efficiency background, Cheikh supported RCREEE team to develop the first draft of Mauritania’s NEEAP and NREAP and preparing various scenarios and targets for the national plans.
After his internship, Cheikh joined the Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Mines in Mauritania.
About APSEY program, Cheikh says:
“During my internship, I had a chance to work closely with leading experts in energy fields. I learnt a lot from them on the technical and managerial side. APSEY program equips fresh graduates with technical and operational knowledge necessarily to start their career in sustainable fields. I see it as a unique program as it listens carefully to young professional’s opinions and suggestions.”
