Outputs:
- Conducting environmental compliance audits and developing an environmental compliance plan.
- Reviewing and updating previously issued standards (solid waste, noise, air quality) and developing spill control standards and related implementation plans.
- Preparing sustainability reports.
- Developing a plan to maximize the use of waste generated by factories.
Impact:
The project aims to develop an environmental compliance system for 13 industrial facilities in Yemen by supporting the development of environmental and social impact assessments for these facilities in accordance with the guidelines of the International Finance Corporation, as well as developing environmental risk assessments for the facilities, providing technical training for staff within the facilities, and updating the environmental records of the factories in accordance with the requirements of Yemeni environmental law and international entities.
