Press Release: RCREEE & SCG Partnership Signing Ceremony
The Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) and Sustainable Carbon Group (SCG) are proud to announce the signing of a transformative and strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at accelerating low-carbon development and strengthening climate resilience across the Arab region.
This partnership brings together RCREEE’s regional leadership in clean energy policy and capacity building with SCG’s global expertise in net-zero strategy, ESG management, carbon project development, and energy efficiency innovation. Together, the two organizations will collaborate on a wide range of initiatives to drive sustainable energy transitions, strengthen carbon markets, and advance net-zero technologies.
Key Objectives of the Partnership:
- Develop robust greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting frameworks
- Design and implement high-integrity carbon credit projects
- Mobilize green finance and climate-related investments
- Pilot innovative low-carbon and energy-efficient technologies
- Deliver regional capacity-building and certification programs
The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Zoheir Hamedi, Executive Director of RCREEE; Dr. Stefano Merlin, CEO of SCG; and Dr. Marwa Al-Ansary, Global Executive Director of SCG.
This partnership represents a significant step toward a net-zero economy, reinforcing both organizations’ commitment to climate-smart development, innovation, and regional cooperation.
