IsDB and RCREEE Partner to Map
Renewable Energy Resource Centers in MENA Region
15 January 2024 – The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) officially launched their partnership in an online meeting held on Monday 15 January 2024.
Both institutions reiterated at the occasion, their commitment to work together to advance the agenda of renewable energy and energy efficiency in the Arab region and beyond.
The focus of this collaboration between IsDB and RCREEE is on mapping renewable energy public and private Resource Centers (RCs) from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. These RCs are institutions that have longstanding experience and strong track record in renewable energy technologies, policies, project development, and investment support.
The mapping will enable both institutions to have a roster of renewable energy Research Centers that can be involved in projects and programs supporting IsDB member countries’ efforts for energy transition.
Also, this collaboration will pave the way to further future potential collaboration in the renewable energy sector through South-South Cooperation.
