RCREEE discusses challenges and opportunities for non-conventional water resources
Within the 13th Session of the Arab Ministerial Water Council, FAO regional office for the Near East and North Africa, in partnership with the League of Arab States, UNICEF, ESCWA, ICRC, IWMI, and OXFAM are organizing a High-Level Meeting on “Water Scarcity: A Challenge to Sustainable Development in the Arab Region” on 17 November 2021.
The meeting aims to provide an inclusive forum and dialogue environment for decision makers, development partners, donors, civil society and scientists to discuss and debate advances and innovations in the field. It will present current challenges and opportunities in addressing water scarcity in the MENA region and will provide inclusive, multi-sectoral output messages that will feed into the intergovernmental high-level processes on Water Scarcity and Sustainable Development.
RCREEE Executive Director, Dr. Jauad El Kharraz will be among the panelist for a session entitled “Challenges and Opportunities for the Use of Non-conventional Water Resources”.
