The Palestinian energy sector is almost entirely reliant on energy imports. 89% of total electricity supply comes from the Israeli Electrical Corporation, whereas 3% come from Egypt and Jordan. The share of installed energy capacity in Palestine is entirely fossil fuel fired. Palestine aims to achieve 10% of domestic electricity generation come from renewable energy by 2020. A NEEAP was adopted in 2012 with energy efficiency targets of 5% cumulative energy savings by 2020.
