Participation in project management and supervision of the work package related to energy efficiency in household appliances, the work package related to financing, business models, and capacity building for energy efficiency markets, and the work package related to communication with participation in the work package related to policies and strategies.
Organizing field research visits to learn about the latest energy efficiency technologies regionally and internationally, and organizing an annual conference, meetMED Week, and consultative workshops to exchange expertise on relevant topics.
Preparing studies aimed at adopting policies for the application of minimum energy performance standards and energy efficiency labels for household appliances, including a study for Libya and Lebanon, and reports on the procedures for implementing minimum energy performance standards and energy efficiency labels, and harmonizing minimum energy standards and energy efficiency labels for household appliances with a focus on air conditioning units.
Preparing updated reports on sustainable financing and market studies to maximize opportunities for deploying energy efficiency technologies in the region and preparing an interactive tool that includes financial tools and initiatives tailored for energy efficiency project owners.
Preparing training courses for experts to train on the techniques and tools for implementation, evaluation, and monitoring covered by the project.
Organizing a regional forum for sustainable financing and dialogue sessions that include experts and national, regional, and international financing institutions in Jordan, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, and Morocco.
Forming specialized working groups and expert networks from energy efficiency experts (policies – energy efficiency technologies in buildings and appliances – monitoring and evaluation of energy efficiency programs – financing and business models).
Participation in the activities of the Union for the Mediterranean as a coordinator for regional renewable energy and energy efficiency activities.
