COP26 Side Event: Call To Action! for the Establishment of the Global Ocean Energy Alliance (GOEA) on 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (UK Time), Thursday, 11 November 2021
The Small Island Sustainable Energy and Climate Resilience Organization (SIDS DOCK), UNIDO and the Stimson Alliance for a Climate Resilient Earth (ACRE) are organising the COP26 Side Event: Call To Action! for the Establishment of the Global Ocean Energy Alliance (GOEA) on 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (UK Time), Thursday, 11 November 2021 at: Wood House, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. The event will be held physically and by online means.
The high-level event will feature the participation of several Prime Ministers and Ministers from Small Island Developing States (SIDS), as well as CEOs from international organisations and the ocean energy industry. The event is organised under the umbrella of the Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centres (GN-SEC), which facilitates SIDS-SIDS cooperation on innovative sustainable energy and climate progams of common interest. The event will launch the GOEA virtual platform and provide an outlook on the way forward.
