RIndustry Online Training Course: "Energy Efficiency in the Industrial Sector" in Egypt
Industrial energy efficiency offers a variety of solutions. Investing in sustainable technologies and efficient tools is among the highest impact opportunities for energy efficiency, which will help to promote industrial productivity while reducing carbon emissions.
Under Affordable Resources for Egypt’s Industrial Growth (RIndustry) project, RCREEE in collaboration with the British University in Egypt (BUE) invite young professionals and engineers from MSMEs/industries, governmental bodies, NGOs, and entrepreneurship in Egypt to register and join “Energy Efficiency in the Industrial Sector (Standards, Energy Audit & energy data analysis)” training course. The training is scheduled to take place on 7-11 February 2021 (4:00 PM - 08:00 PM)
The training course aims to provide young engineering professionals working for MSME’s and industries in Egypt with the basic knowledge and engineering backgrounds to save energy in different facilities and to get familiar with current practices in industrial energy efficiency in Egypt.
Upon completing the training course, participants will be equipped with
- Sound knowledge on energy auditing practices.
- Knowledge of the energy-saving options and energy management principles.
- Good understanding of the Regulations and standards
- Gain good knowledge on the energy management systems and standards: ISO 50001
Qualifications and application process:
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

About the trainer: Dr. Hasnaa Hatem
Dr. Hasnaa Hatem is an Energy Management System Instructor/ consultant. She has over twenty years of experience covering various sectors. She has more than 9 years of experience providing consultancy and coaching on implementing energy management systems (EnMS) for public and private sectors accomplishing great improvements in energy efficiency.
Dr. Hasnaa holds a Bachelor of Science degree, Master degree, and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Ain Shams University. She is certified as a National expert by United Nations Industrial Development Organization “UNIDO” and International Standardization Organization academy “ISO Academy”.

Rindustry Project, an EU funded project, aims to change the culture of resource utilization in Egypt’s industry for enhanced economics and competition. The project tackles energy production, water rationalization and water desalination, and energy efficiency as the main pillars to achieve its goal while utilizing research & development (R&D) along with innovative and sustainable solutions.
RIndsutry project is implemented by The British University in Egypt (BUE) in collaboration with the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA), Central Metallurgical Research and Development Institute (CMRDI), and ISIS for Food Industries.
