With OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) co-finance, Widgan joined APSEY 6th round. With Chemical Engineering background, Wigdan supported many of RCREEE projects mainly Solar Heating for Industrial Process heat in the Egyptian Industry (SHIP) and the Industrial Energy Efficiency Guideline.
After her internship, she obtained a master’s degree in International Development with concentrations on Methods and African Studies from Sciences Po Paris. She was also recognized as Civic Society Leadership Award scholar. Besides, She traveled to Somalia conducting a research on the country’s political economy status quo.
Today, she holds the position of Head of Exploration at UNDP Sudan.
About APSEY program, Wigdan says:
