1- Background
The Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) is an intergovernmental organization with diplomatic status that aims to enable and increase the adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency practices in the Arab region. RCREEE teams with regional governments and global organizations to initiate and lead clean energy policy dialogues, strategies, technologies and capacity development in order to increase Arab states’ share of tomorrow’s energy.

2- Objectives, tasks and responsibilities
Coordination for RCREEE Internal and External Communication
- Insure the communication plan implementation, play the role of the plan coordinator.
- Monitor information flow throughout the department and different resource to all communication and marketing tools and platforms
- Create and manage online platforms to serve internal and external communications of RCREEE
RCREEE Stakeholders Database and Customer Relation Management
- Manages and updates RCREEE CRM system, ensuring that contact information is updated, segmented, and correct based.
- Expands stakeholders database through different techniques based on communications strategy and stakeholders mapping
RCREEE Marketing Tools
- Contributes to developing and maintaining a consistent brand image, contents, key messages and communication strategies across different channels.
- Drafts marketing and communications collateral materials for the organization’s main projects, and products including online contents, press releases, reports, and brochures.
- Develop and improve RCREEE printed marketing materials (brochures, flyer …etc), this doesn’t include design, it includes content management and production
- Develops and improve email marketing tools
- Develop and improve newsletters for higher open and click rates through searching for news, blogs, publications about RCREEE member states and interesting events.
- Manages and maintains online presence through websites, directories, links popularity in terms of strategy, contents, and promotion
- Manages and maintains RCREEE social media channels and design strategies and campaigns for increase RCREEE outreach through these channels
- Promotes and increase download rate of RCREEE publications through different techniques
- Manages and executes customer satisfaction and impact evaluation surveys
- Answers customers inquiries on the media email
- Develop project specific marketing and tools campaigns according to each project plan
RCREEE Websites:
- Ensuring website content management and data migration if required in coordination with relevant technical and administrative teams.
- Maintaining and providing technical management for RCREEE’s database applications, web-based applications, and information systems built on Drupal, Moodle and WordPress platforms.
- Suggesting knowledge management and technology procurements and coordination to ensure cost efficient and technology optimum choices for RCREEE knowledge management tools, online channels and infrastructure.
- Provide analytical reports on the traffic and nature of users of the website and manage the Google analytics accounts
- Manages and updates Organization related websites with new initiatives, publications, stories, events and media coverage
- Maintains analytics system and report and recommends strategies to improve its performance
- The candidate should coordinate with the web developer to:
- Ensure that the online portals are functional and working properly
- Monitoring and recovering downtime of the servers.
- Protecting and recovering from any security issues on the servers.
- Contacting the ISP for any issue related to network or operating system.
- Ensuring best practices in technical data integration with other partner platforms.
- Suggesting and implementing new or improved features in different RCREEE web products, including design, development etc. related to new development and/or modifications requested on RCREEE’s applications and information systems.
- Helping in other relevant IT related technical tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree in communications, marketing or any other relevant field.
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Demonstrated track record of similar work and creative copywriting.
- Background in website and content management is required
- Experience working in a similar organization in the fields of RE/EE is preferred.
Skills:
- Fluency in Arabic and English (verbal and written). French is a plus.
- Excellent writing, public speaking and presentation skills.
- Creative copywriting skills in both Arabic and English
- Clear and effective communication that builds relationships in order to mediate common interests.
- Advanced representation and negotiation skills.
- High level of computer proficiency.
- Promotes teamwork and cooperation
4- General Terms and Conditions
The Communications Specialist is required to work from RCREEE’s Cairo office on a full-time basis
Tenure of Appointment
The initial appointment will be for 12 Months including a 3 months’ probation period.
Contract renewal is subject to performance and availability of funding.
