Position: Senior Accountant

Reports to: Finance and Administration Head

Location: Cairo, Egypt

Contract: The selected candidate will start on a renewable one-year national contract.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle bookkeeping and day-to-day financial transactions; insert the transactions in the IT system(s)
• Provide regular financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends when required
• Handle cash box accounts for each donor and record their transactions in the system
• Handle bank transactions (transfers, cash withdrawal, currency exchange)
• Follow up on payments schedule with contractors and service providers
• Follow up on collection of funds from governments and institutions
• Assist the Financial and Administration Manager
• Perform other relevant tasks as required

Requirements and Competencies

Qualifications:
Accounting, Reporting Skills, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Reporting Research Results, Confidentiality, Time Management, Data Entry Management, General Math Skills

Competencies:

• Holding a CMA / CPA or relevant degree is a plus
• Previous experience in development and not-for-profit organizations is an asset
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both oral and written
• Excellent command of MS-Office
• Good communication, networking, presentation, and problem solving skills
• Flexibility to adopt new challenges and responsibilities
• Ability to work within an international team, do multi-tasking, and comply with tight deadlines

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: 5,000 – 7,000 EGP monthly net salary
